This PhD project has been awarded a place on the HSE Spark “Design on the Frontline” Fellowship 2024-25, a year-long programme that embeds emerging innovators inside Ireland’s hospitals. The fellowship provides funding, expert mentors, clinical access and rapid prototyping support, turning academic research into frontline solutions. Fellows join a national network of clinicians, designers and patient partners, receive masterclasses in implementation science and pitch their ideas to HSE leaders. The appointment underscores the project’s potential to deliver meaningful healthcare impact.
